Scholarships
The Turnbow Foundation
The Turnbow Foundation believes a thriving community depends on supporting the educational aspirations of students so they have every opportunity to become a talented and skilled asset or a future leader.
The foundation gives out several scholarships aimed at women who are returning to school to better their career prospects.
Applicants must attend a community college vocational program or trade school in Arizona and will need to write an essay about their career goals and financial situation. The scholarship is designed for devoted, low-income single mothers over the age of 21 who are determined on earning a degree/License within 24-36 months.
The scholarship, and school supplies will be provided on a semester-by-semester basis to the school when transcripts and schedules are provided to the foundation. The Turnbow Foundation will continue to provide the scholarship each semester as long as the student remains in the same program, and maintains a 3.0 GPA or better. Failure on these results will result in forfeiture of future scholarships.

With Turnbow’s generosity, I will be able to fulfill my goals and graduate with my paralegal degree in the fall of 2026. Receiving this scholarship has significantly impacted my life, taking a significant financial burden off myself that I can dedicate to savings and my children and their schooling. Thank you again, Turnbow Foundation, for your scholarship and for ending my year on a beautiful and hopeful note for the future.

Ashyra (Our 2021 Graduate)
Receiving this scholarship meant I was able to fulfill my dream of becoming a Dental Hygienist.
Because of this scholarship I was able to focus on being a mother to my two children, while being a full-time student, without the pressure
of having to work to pay for my classes.
This scholarship has really meant everything to me!”
Kadee Class of 2023
This scholarship has been a godsend to me. Going to school while raising two children has many challenges. But, being awarded this scholarship has lifted a financial burden affording me the opportunity to focus more on my studies.
For that, I’m forever grateful for the Turnbow Foundation and everyone who supports it!
Gabby (Our 2020 Graduate)
I am working three days a week and it has provided me to be self-sufficient. The office that I am at, started my pay at $40/hr. I am able to pay bills. I am currently looking for a home of my own as I am still with my parents. As the office grows and gains clientele, I will then be offered more days to work. As of now, I am happy with working three days and having the rest of the days off to enjoy with my daughter.
Thank you so much! I Couldn’t have done it without the help of you! You guys are such a blessing and I will forever be grateful for the Turnbow Foundation!”
